Internal Family Systems allows clients to explore parts of themselves that feel stuck, recognising how those parts have protected them, and helping them step back to support growth and change.

Solution-Focused Therapy emphasises strengths and practical, forward-looking goals, helping clients create meaningful change without needing to dwell on the past.

Motivational Interviewing supports clients in resolving ambivalence and building motivation for change, whether in relationships, identity, or career.

More info The initial couples therapy consultation with Alicia is a 90-minute session designed to create a safe, balanced space for both individuals. The first 30 minutes are divided into two 15-minute individual consultations, allowing each partner to meet privately with Alicia. This gives each person space to share their perspective, concerns, and goals, while helping Alicia understand each individual's background. The remaining 60 minutes are spent in a joint session. Together, the couple and Alicia begin to explore patterns in the relationship, clarify shared goals, and discuss the direction of therapy. Alicia also outlines her approach and answers any questions. This session is not about solving issues immediately, but rather about building trust and setting the tone for future work. Alicia’s warm, non-judgmental style helps both partners feel heard and supported as they begin this process.
